I've always disliked the changes to the original films. At a minimum I feel like Lucas should have enshrined the originals for the wonders that they are, even if he wanted to make "revised" versions.
As to the music, I've always preferred the original "Yub Nub" and felt that showing the entire galaxy celebrating was a break from the much more "personal" point of view used in the original trilogy.

1. Ewok Celebration is clearly superior because of reasons.
2. The choir is obviously Force Ghosts, including dead Obi Wan, dead Yoda, and dead OLD ORIGINAL Anakin. Post-prequels, George should have also added the ghosts of the slaughtered padawans along with Mace Windu and QuiGon, merrily singing along. Duh.
I miss "Yub Nub," but the musical change to ROTJ I consider absolutely unforgiveable is the substitution of "Jedi Rocks" for "Lapti Nek."
